Fania Borach, known professionally as Fanny Brice or Fannie Brice, is an American actress, songwriter, singer, stage and film actress who has appeared numerous times in theater, radio and cinema. She is known as the creator and star of the popular radio comedy series The Baby Snooks Show. Thirteen years after his death, Brice was portrayed by Barbra Streisand on the Broadway stage in the 1964 musical Funny Girl; Streisand also starred in the 1968 adaptation, for which she won an Oscar, and the 1975 sequel, Funny Lady.
She produced and starred in the radio comedy series The Baby Snooks Show. She was a stand-up comedian, singer, theatrical and film performer from the United States."My Man", her renowned song, was first performed at the Ziegfeld Follies in 1921. She was the subject of the 1968 film Funny Girl, which was released thirteen years after her death.
